Brand New Local State Parks Map Available
The Central Coast Natural History Association has just produced a detailed local map featuring all the state parks complete with directions. The map is in full-color and available free from any of the following locations: Morro Bay Museum of Natural History, Pismo Nature Center, Spooner Ranch House in Montana de Oro and after October 28th the Monarch Butterfly Grove.
The map was developed by board members Mitchell States and Shari Sullivan. It includes such little known parks as Estero Bluffs and the Los Osos Oaks State Reserve as well as campgrounds at Morro Strand and Oceano.
“This is a much needed product for use at all our local State Parks,” said CCNHA Chairman Cathy Novak. “People who live right here in own county miss out on some really wonderful and free educational programs just because they don’t know where to go. We hope this helps locals and tourists alike to use our parks more often.”
15,000 maps have been published by CCNHA to better promote local State Parks.
