An Elephant Seal is Observed on Morro Strand State Beach January 3, 2006
This is an unusual sighting for Morro Strand

This Elephant Seal hauled out on the Morro Strand State Beach in Morro Bay, CA (opposite the Cloisters subdivision, north of the Morro Bay High School, and south of Azure Street) for just one or two minutes around noon on Tuesday January 3, 2006 -- the magnificent mammal had been reported being seen by a surfer a couple of miles to the north at the "dog beach" north of Northpoint and south of Cayucos.
