Buy this pointer for the museum

The above Presentation Pointer should be in the media cabinet drawer at the rear of the Museum auditorium.  It should plug-and-play on a Windows XP notebook without and any software setup.  There is a USB adapter stored in the base of the pointer that goes into any available USB slot.  Make sure to retrieve the adapter after the presentation.   The top button is a red-laser pointer - pushing it will also change the PowerPoint mode to full-screen.  The right-button advances one slide; the left-button reverses one slide.   The bottom button sets the screen to blank (black) until another navigation button is pressed.  After the presentation is over, the ESC key on the notebook keyboard takes the presentation out of full-screen mode.

INSTRUCTIONS: To use the Museum speaker system with a PC notebook having a 1/8" female headphone jack... Open the drawer in the media cabinet at the rear of the room to find the necessary cables.
Use two 20' M-F stereo 1/8"-1/8" extension cables to get to the back of the room, and then add a final 6' M-M 1/8" stereo mini to Red-and-White RCA-phono cable, to plug into the LINE 2 input on the CD player - Select Line 2 on the CD player by pushing the "channel" button.
(An additional experiment to try the 1/4" Audio Jack in the front failed - Audio just does not seem to be hooked up anywhere in the front. Of the funny looking 3/4" round connectors w/ three prongs up front, one turned out to be a Microphone input which did work with the Mic... which I found in the drawer of the media cabinet.)
